Connection, Compassion and Love, A Guest Post By Michael Brine, Mike Hopkins and Maggie

As difficult as the news is every day, as much as the media has a need to keep us informed of dark, depressing matters, there is equal goodness all around us. (I know that a good deal of us have suffered losses that can only be measured in tears, and that the pain can linger. When enough time has passed, we take little steps back into life, working up the courage to take a swing at living again. I guess that’s the point–that we all know what loss is and yet, most of us get through it and carry on anyway. Really, what are our alternatives?)

Here my amazing online friends share here their tender stories of connection, compassion and love, for wherever there is union and healing, there is Love. We must all remember our own stories of care and goodness, both given and received, and we must share them, for they are needed now. We must share our stories until they become a Love-tsunami more powerful than any of the physical kind. The miracle of being alive now is the miracle of healing. We are all called to share great Love and oneness with each other and All That Is. We are called!

Here is a correspondence between Mike Hopkins, Michael Brine and Maggie. Continue reading

AWAKE: The Life of Yogananda, a Guest Post About the New Film

I am very happy to post this information about a new film that details the life of Paramahansa Yogananda. I cannot wait to see it myself, for it was the writings of the Swami from India that opened my heart to Jesus Christ. Just as Christ did, Paramahansa Yogananda embodied divine love on Earth.

AWAKE_POSTER_11x17_GOLD-rgbA_18JUL14-smallOn January 5, 2015, tens of thousands of yogis and spiritual seekers around the world will commemorate the anniversary of Paramahansa Yogananda’s birth. Yogananda (author of the acclaimed spiritual book Autobiography of a Yogi) has been hailed as the “Father of Yoga in the West” for his pioneering role in making known India’s ancient philosophy of Yoga and its time-honored tradition of meditation.

Just as Yogananda (1893-1952) filled lecture halls to capacity across the country in the 1920s and 1930s to teach the techniques and benefits of yoga meditation, the film about his extraordinary life, AWAKE: The Life of Yogananda, is drawing thousands of filmgoers to theatres around the country today.

The award-winning film, AWAKE: The Life of Yogananda, which debuted in October 2014, details the human struggles the Swami from India faced as he traveled across the U.S. during a time of religious intolerance and racism, as well as the profound impact that his teachings still have today. He made an indelible impression on the spiritual landscape of the United States by encouraging people to seek a more personal relationship with God through meditation, a radical idea in the early 20th century. The film’s success continues to grow as spiritual seekers, yogis, and film fans alike flock to theatres across North America.

With so many seekers focused on this beloved spiritual figure’s yoga teachings as a result of the film (which has screened or is scheduled to screen in more than 85 theaters in the U.S. and Canada), the following excerpt  taken from his published writings is especially relevant as we enter the New Year:

“If you want to be loved, start loving others who need your love….If you want others to sympathize with you, start showing sympathy to those around you. If you want to be respected, you must learn to be respectful to everyone, both young and old….Whatever you want others to be, first be that yourself; then you will find others responding in like manner to you.” – Paramahansa Yogananda

The Second Coming of ChristAnother timely work is Paramahansa Yogananda’s unprecedented masterwork of inspiration, The Second Coming of Christ, which takes the reader on a profoundly enriching journey through the four Christian Gospels. Verse by verse, he illumines the universal path to oneness with God taught by Jesus to his immediate disciples but obscured through centuries of misinterpretation: how to become like Christ, how to resurrect the Eternal Christ within one’s self.

This landmark work transcends divisive sectarianism to reveal a unifying harmony underlying all true religions. A groundbreaking synthesis of East and West, it imparts the life-transforming realization that each of us can experience for ourselves the promised Second Coming — awakening of the all-fulfilling Divine Consciousness latent within our souls.

Yogananda said, “In titling this work The Second Coming of Christ, I am not referring to a literal return of Jesus to earth. He came two thousand years ago and, after imparting a universal path to God’s kingdom, was crucified and resurrected; his reappearance to the masses now is not necessary for the fulfillment of his teachings. What is necessary is for the cosmic wisdom and divine perception of Jesus to speak again through each one’s own experience and understanding of the infinite Christ Consciousness that was incarnate in Jesus. That will be his true Second Coming.”

The Dalai Lama’s Daily Prayer, a Guest Post

Dalai LamaThis is the prayer the Dalai Lama says every morning:

“May I be a guard for those who need protection

A guide for those on the path

A boat, a raft, a bridge for those who wish to cross the flood

May I be a lamp in the darkness

A resting place for the weary

A healing medicine for all who are sick

A vase of plenty, a tree of miracles

And for the boundless multitudes of living beings

May I bring sustenance and awakening

Enduring like the earth and the sky

Until all beings are free from sorrow

And all are awakened.”

Is there a more compassionate prayer in all the world?

The 14th Dalai Lama (religious name: Tenzin Gyatso, shortened from Jetsun Jamphel Ngawang Lobsang Yeshe Tenzin Gyatso, born Lhamo Dondrub,[2] 6 July 1935) is the 14th and current Dalai Lama. Dalai Lamas are the most influential figures in the Gelugpa lineage of Tibetan Buddhism, although the 14th has consolidated control over the other lineages in recent years. He won the Nobel
Peace Prize
in 1989, and is also well known for his lifelong advocacy for Tibetans inside and outside Tibet. Tibetans traditionally believe him to be the reincarnation of his predecessors and a manifestation of the Bodhisattva of Compassion.

Off-Worlders Are Revealing Themselves to Us, A Guest Post by Michael Brine

By Michael Brine
Email  address: <wild.brine621@gmail.com>

Man w light on chestIt is time for me to go public with my own insights and experiences regarding visits from off-worlders. It is time to be a bit bolder in letting the general public know that many of us have experienced contact with others, supporting our views on the existence of life elsewhere in our galaxy.

Readers may know  that I believe we are not alone in this Universe. In line with that idea, I will now disclose an experience I had when I was visiting England back in September, 2003. It was at a time when the Americans were on the move into Afghanistan, and I had connected with a group of people who felt that we should do all we could to stop this. I was at the time visiting with friends down in Glastonbury, Somerset in the West Country. One evening I was socialising and heard there was a gathering planned the next day at noon to form a circle in a small village square off the main square to send out prayers for peace to stop this ‘invasion’ of Afghanistan by the US and its allies, which included Canada, my home. (As an aside my father, who was a British military officer in India in 1919, was up on the borders of Afghanistan at one point and he wrote in his daily diary: “Afghanistan will never be conquered. It’s too tribal.”)

So my friends and I joined this group at noon in a quiet little area off the city centre. As we were forming a circle a young chap ran up and asked if he could join us. Of course, we said, “Yes.” He looked at me; I nodded.  He came between me and another and we proceeded to join hands in a circle. We entered the Silence sending out our thoughts/prayers for Peace. When it was over some of us were talking about meeting later and going out for an evening at a local pub about 10 miles out of town. We arranged to meet in the village square at 5:30. This young chap asked if he could join us. We said of course. We met and drove out to this pub called “The Apple Tree.” There we were given a private room off the main bar area where there was a lovely fire burning.

We shared our thoughts about things. Our young friend sat on the shelf that runs in front of the fireplace and quietly listened. He said very little but seemed absorbed by our exchanges. It was a lovely evening. Eventually we returned to the town centre where some left their cars and had crammed in with others. All were saying goodnight. I was standing off a little way waiting for my friend to join me to drive home when this young chap came towards me quietly. As he approached, I saw a circle of white light come from his heart centre into mine and I felt Love and Compassion such as I had never before or since! He quietly left and no one has seen him again, as far as I know.

We are not alone – believe it – and they are among us working and influencing us as best as they can. I feel that there is a moment coming when there will be much more openness by these Beings who are here among us, and I feel that moment is close, as the world is in such a mess.

I have had a couple of other experiences but this one was exceptional for me and I will never forget the compassion I felt in that moment.

From ‘Of Good and Evil’ by Kahlil Gibran, a Guest Post

Kahlil Gibran

One of the elders of the city said:
‘Speak to us of good and evil.’
And he – the prophet – replied:
Of the good in you I can speak, but not of the evil.
For what is evil but the good within you
that is tortured by its own hunger and thirst,
for the experience of learning what will help you
in due course to return to your true nature?

That is why when the good in you is hungry
it seeks food even in dark caves. And when
it thirsts, it will drink of dead waters, too.

You are good when you are at one with your Highest
Self, yet, when you are not one with it, you are not evil.
You are but a divided house and that is not necessarily
a den of thieves; it is merely that the two parts of you,
your Highest Self and its earthly counterpart,
are still traveling in opposite directions;
thus, you are a divided house.

This can be likened to a ship without a rudder that wanders
aimlessly among perilous isles, without necessarily sinking
to the bottom. When you have learnt enough about evil,
with the help of God and the Angels, the two parts of you
will be joined together again, and brought into harmony,
so that they can work for you, instead of against.

For A Fulfilled Life, One Needs . . .

“The prerequisites of the fulfilled life are material
comfort, leisure, education, justice and social stability.”
~Aristotle

From the book: THE PARADOX OF INTENTION
By Marvin C. Shaw

Note: When I read this, the importance of compassion and social justice became clearer.
Let us see the picture that is greater than
ourselves and open our hearts and minds to
making a positive difference in the lives of others who are not now living a life of meaning.

Divine Justice, a Guest Post Received by Lytske, 11:11 Progress Group

Urantia, May 4, 2012.
Teacher: The Beloved One.
Subject: “Divine Justice.”

Received by Lytske.

The Beloved One: “Be assured that I know how hesitant you are to even start typing, as this new subject frightens you somewhat. The reason for this is that you were raised in the belief of the wrath of God, and that God was a stern judge. These are puerile emotions which only humans indulge in. How wrong those teachings!

“Still it remains in those records of old. You recall how you had difficulty in believing all those legends you were spoon-fed. Remember how many stories in the bible made as little sense to you as to many others. Therefore, the time has come to shine a new light upon justice, specifically Divine Justice, so that honest and sincere souls may feel at ease about the ‘coming judgment’, rather than living in fear, and like the olden seer John the Baptist expressed it, ‘flee from the wrath to come’.

“Being well versed in the bible and now with the enlarged revelation of your text, the Urantia Book, it will become a lot easier for you to understand how Divine Justice operates, as all mortals are their own judge and jury, needing to forgive themselves and others, as God automatically forgives those who forgive all.

“Your studies will allow you to acquire a better understanding of how Divine Justice operates in the time-space creations. It is on all the peopled planets of space where such lessons are learned. Lessons create understanding and understanding leads to wisdom. Life is therefore precious and the lessons are chosen by the mortals themselves, whether they are conscious of their own choices or not. Irrespective, life is, it flows, and progresses, regardless of the choices you make.

“Sooner, more often later, the dawning comes that, yes, perhaps you could have made better choices, or behaved more appropriately, or not have acted impulsively, or said something thoughtlessly, which may have caused misery for self and or others, and such performance would hardly be seen as doing the will of God, but consider this…

“You will see now, dear one, how important that one prayer is: ‘Not my will be done but yours’. This is Divine Justice in its purest form. By doing His will, you will become more conscious of the fact that God does not judge at all, he only forgives. This is true justice, as everything is based on love. Even the universes with all the myriad planets are created from nothing but love.

“Such is the extent of Divine Justice that He allows each mortal to make up his or her own mind about how they will conduct themselves throughout their precious lives. Eventually they will see it God’s way and adhere to that one commandment to become perfect even as God is perfect. Such is the love of God that He patiently waits, allowing each child to return their love back to Him.

“The eternal truth remains that when you decide to do, and abide by, God’s will, which is the way with the most love in it, you will be in the flow of pure creation and be living by Divine Justice.”

Will You Accept This Mission? “Yes, I Will,” she said.

My online buddy, Michael Brine, sent me an email several days back with a video interview of Inelia Benz, by Bill Ryan of Project Avalon. It’s movie length, 105 minutes, but, wow, it’s way, way more interesting than any movie I’ve ever seen. The camera stays on her the whole time and he’s in the background asking questions and commenting. I can’t call it riveting, but neither could I not continue to watch. She explains that she is not one of us humans who’ve incarnated time and again, making slow progress on the evolutionary scale toward enlightenment. She was at-one with the Source, asked to become an individual and accept a mission (she says there are millions like her) to go to Earth, take on a human body and, simply by her presence, raise the consciousness of people and the planet. She doesn’t judge anyone, her assignments or the process. She simply goes and does what she is told to do, which is to focus a hundred percent on the assignment. The loving energy of the Source does the work, through her nearness and focus.

Most interesting to me was what she said about free will. She and the others like her have been sent to Earth to mitigate the dark energy of those manipulating what happens on Earth solely for financial gain. We humans can’t make real free will choices because of the pressing-down power of the dark forces. (Free will was the deal, so to speak.) As she/they are used to raise our consciousness and Mother Earth’s energy, we are given a window of opportunity to freely choose whether to stay in this dark timeline or move to a parallel timeline where there is no war, no dark forces, no manipulating—only light and Love and life. She adds, though, that Love will eventually encompass all on Earth—it is our destiny. The more of us who tune into our ‘helpers’ to reject fear and negative thinking, the less traumatic the impending shift in consciousness.

I know this sounds like the plot of a good movie, or that she is crazy. But just watch. Grab a friend and some popcorn and watch. Maybe it is riveting after all. I promise, you will feel the power of Love and you will not forget what you have seen.

On the Feminine Role in the New World, Quoted from the book: “Servers of the Divine Plan”

“This book is dedicated to all those intrepid souls who have sacrificed their exalted spiritual freedom in voluntary service to humanity and planet earth at this time of greatest need.”

Quoted from: Servers of the Divine Plan, Pg. 49

“It is evident that there has been an extreme patriarchal imbalance upon Earth for a very long time. The innate creative and intuitive qualities of the feminine spirit have been long-feared by distorted male perception, and as a result women have been repressed, dominated and persecuted throughout history. In order to bring equilibrium in a world that has known so much control by the male force, the majority of Server-souls upon Earth at this time have chosen to incarnate in female bodies. AS agents of change, these valiant envoys of the New Spirit bring to the planet a very high concentration of feminine power that will presently resolve the patriarchal problem upon Earth once and for all, restoring much needed balance and harmony that will benefit everyone in the New World, both women AND men. During the time leading up to the Great Transition, however, and since male authority is still presently the controlling global power, female Servers will continue to experience something of the anguish of the collective persecution endured by so many women over the ages. Nonetheless, they are assured that their long awaited time of liberation and victory is today at hand.”

Looking for a Cure?

Dr. Constantine Hering (1800–1880) is considered the Father of Homeopathy in America.

(Homeopathy, medicine from nature, is a system for treating disease based on the administration of minute doses of a drug that in massive amounts produces symptoms in healthy individuals similar to those of the disease itself. Quoted from Herbal Remedies.com.)

Dr. Constantine Hering founded a homeopathic school in Pennsylvania in 1833 called Allentown Academy and wrote ten volumes on homeopathic cures; along with the words of wisdom below, shared with me by Michael Brine, called the “Law of Direction of Cure,” known popularly as Hering’s Law of Cure:

“All healing starts from the within out – from the head down, and, in the reverse order as the symptoms have appeared.”

A healing crises will occur only when an individual is ready both physiologically and psychologically.

The basic foundation for all healing is nutritional preparedness.

A healing crises will begin from within out, in reverse order chronologically as to how the symptoms have appeared, tempered by the intensity of the trauma.

The individual will have the opportunity to re-experience each trauma, physiologically and psychologically, beginning with the trauma of least severity.

It must be recognized that traumas involving emotions, which include all traumas, will be released in order, beginning with unconsciousness, then apathy, grief, fear, anger, pain and eventually enthusiasm [love], in conjunction with the appropriate word patterns for each emotion and thought pattern [sensory memory] which are accessible at each level.

Unconditional love and unconditional forgiveness are the keys to apply and transmute any resistance at any level, once these resistances are brought to view through the application of the laws of love, light and perfection. “
